Color Correction

CinePost is a full-service post-production & film transfer facility based in Marietta, GA. One of our core services is color correction and we have been providing stunning results for clients for well over a decade. We can transfer from nearly any film stock: 8mm, Super 8, 16mm, 35mm, and convert it to a high-resolution digital format. During these sessions, we perform real-time color correction using an industry-standard DaVinci System. In addition to real-time or “Bestlight” color correction, we offer “Scene-to-Scene” programming where each individual shot or “scene” gets its own color treatment (highly recommended if scanning at 2k or 4k). If you already have a scan of your film or digitally shot material our editors can perform color correction using a computer workstation to enhance the picture and put it over the top in appearance. These projects are very detail-oriented and typically involve scene-specific programming to maintain an overall “look” to the finished piece.

We did a high definition color correction & restoration project of “Iron Petticoat” (starring Bob Hope and Katherine Hepburn). The 2k scans of the film we were provided with appeared faded and lifeless. After extensive digital color correction, the resulting footage looks like it could have been shot yesterday and easily stands up to modern production standards. Our editors have years of experience working on high profile projects, they employ many different professional software applications & tools to achieve a striking visual image. Each project presents its own unique challenges and our experienced staff is creative in coming up with new solutions to problems they may not have encountered before. We stay on the bleeding edge of technology and its application to making your material look as best as it possibly can.
